Pariz mountain

Here I wanna to introducing a mountain for one-day mountaineering. so what is that name? Pariz mountain (Pariz Kooh).

Pariz mountain is the name of peaks in Lorestan province (Iran). Pariz is the southeast point of Doroud city. this mountain is a part of Zagros mountains. the hight of Pariz is near 3050 m from the sea level. the main feature of that is a wonderful view from the top of the peak to the area. from south to the Abo-bid valley (Aav-bid in Bakhtiari dialect). from north to Doroud, from west to Gharon peak and from east to Oshtorankoh peak.

Why we should see Pariz mountain?

it’s simple. because it’s beautiful, amazing and mysterious. there are many things to see and explore. limpid water source, valleys, slopes, waterfalls and etc.

the mysterious source of water(vaghte saat)

there is a mysterious source of water in a cave. I called the exact time (vaghte saat). of course in summer that its water is very low. for 20 minutes, the water fluent from the water of source and another 20 minutes does not fluent any water.

Tazi Snow (Barf Tazi in Bakhtiari dialect)

There is a place on the top of the peak. nomads called Tazi. what is the difference this snow with another snow? the different is endurance. this snow there is even in summer.

Aznader waterfall

Among the rock of cliffs. there is a beautiful waterfall. we called Aznader. the water of this waterfall comes from Tazi Snow. from top of the peak. in the past, Nomads put some hay to the water on the peak and Then they saw hay at the bottom of the waterfall. so they came to the conclusion that the water is from Tazi barf.

How can we get to Pariz mountain?

there are three ways to reach the top of Pariz

• Cheshme-Serenge village
• Dareh-aspar village
• Rakan village

Cheshme-Serenge village is the southeast of Doroud. this village is very near the city (5 km). when you arrive at the village. you should move toward Rakan water source. then after passing a hard slope maybe during 1 to 2 hours, you will reach there. from here you need a guide. because there is a hard path between the cliffs

Dareh-aspar village

this village is on the road of the Gahar lake. there are two ways from here to Pariz. one of them passing from Rangi Mountain. another way passing from Aznader waterfall and Razoso grove.

Rakan village

for reaching to exact time water source this village is better than another choice.
