The sign of perseverance

Avors(Juniperus) tree, the sign of perseverance. because its powerful roots in every condition are ready for a fight. fight to wind. fight to rain. fight to soil erosion.it’s amazing tree. an evergreen tree.in the west of Iran, there are many of juniper tree. especially I want to speak about trees in the Zagros mountains. in Farsi, we called  “Oros”. in Lori dialect called “Avors”.I think it’s a sign of power. the tree that its roots in the earth like columns that keep the soil.

Area Growing

There are about 60 species of this tree in the world. it usually grows 2500 meters above the sea level. this tree grows in the worse condition. it has more of 2000 years old. in Iran oldest tree is “Sarve Abarkoh”.the age of that estimated to be 4000 to 5000 years.  Abarkoh is a town in Yazd province. Sarve abarkoh is kind of Avors. it usually grows in the cold area.

Avors in Doroud

since of the past, the people in the village used the wood for making house and fire. in addition to the Oak(Balot), the people used Avors’s wood for making a house. but I must say they used more of the Oak. the most house that made in the village of lorestan, made of plaster of clay and wood (in the past not now). I love the smell of clay.

Properties

Except for wood of Avors. I can say many things to property. in my opinion, beauty is the important property. when I look to the Avorse. I have a good feel for this power, simplicity. I think Avors is like a man that fighting to problems. but he doesn’t have any complaint. it just keeps silent and with pride, looking to the sign of GOD (nature).
