Zahedan is the capital of Sistan and Balochestan\u00a0Province in Iran. this province is in the East\u00a0south of Iran. this is the second largest province in Iran. the old name of Zahedan\u00a0was Dozd-aab that literature meaning is “water thief”. in Pahlavi time Dozz-aab changed\u00a0to Zahedan. this city is quiet and calm. there isn’t heavy traffic. the water in the city is salty. you have to buy mineral water for drinking. the religion\u00a0of mere people is Sunni that is a branch of Islam. it is the capital of the Sunni people in Iran.<\/p>\n

how can we get to Zahedan<\/strong><\/p>\n

I recommend by plane. Zahaden has an airport. I think this way is easier in another way. there are\u00a0flights\u00a0from Shiraz, Mashhad, Chabahar, and Tehran to there. the flight time is about one and a half hours from Tehran. you can get to Zahedan by bus from the south\u00a0terminal in Tehran (15 h 45 min.<\/span>1,495.9\u00a0km). by train is a good way to going there but it is a very long time about 24 hours. Every day there is a train at 12 o’clock in Tehran.<\/p>\n

What can we do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

this city is a very good place for shopping. everything is cheap because this city is near the border. Rasoli intersection is the famous\u00a0place for shopping. Berasan passage is especially\u00a0for buying clothes. Berasan meaning in Balochi Dialect is Brothers. Backpack and trainers are very cheaper than other things.<\/p>\n

Sistan and Balochestan<\/strong><\/p>\n

the northern area of the province called Sistan. Zahedan, Zabol, Mirjave are the famous cities in Sistan. sistan has share\u00a0border with Afghanistan.\u00a0the southern\u00a0area of the province called\u00a0Balochestan. from Khash city until Chabahar city is Balochestan. this area has share\u00a0border with Pakistan. the weather in this province is very warm and dry. winter is the good season to trip there.<\/p>\n

Makki mosque<\/strong><\/p>\n

one of the biggest mosques in Iran is Makki. this mosque is the center of Sunni people\u00a0in Iran. it has 33000-meter square substructure with four minarets. the mosque has 52 domes that biggest dome has 46 meters in length.\u00a0the important point about the mosque is that All costs paid by people, not government\u00a0organizations.<\/p>\n

the people in Zahedan like spicy food. the famous food is Biryani.here like Karachi<\/a> has spice.<\/p>\n

important souvenirs are spice\u00a0and\u00a0date cookie. you can find the best quality of mango in Zahedan. “Achar Baluchi” is Baluchi spice .<\/p>\n
