Bakhtiari tribe is a branch\u00a0of lurs\u00a0race that is one of the tribes in Iran. that is like Kurd, Baloch, Ghashghaei, Sistani, Azari, Maazani, etc.<\/p>\n

Bakhtiari word is a combination of two words. Bakht+iari. in Farsi Bakht is chance and iari is\u00a0the companion. the people of the tribe living in Zagros mountains slopes. Zagros mountains are one of the longer mountains in Iran. Zagros broad is from north-west to south-east of Iran.<\/p>\n

Bakhtiari people live in the different\u00a0provinces in Iran. such as chaharmahal Bakhtiari, Lorestan, Isfahan, Khuzestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, and Bushehr province. but more much of Bakhtiari populations are in chaharmahal Bakhtiari and Khuzestan province.<\/p>\n

each tribe everywhere in Iran divided into\u00a0the small parts those names are “Tayefe” and “Tire” and “maal” in the Bakhtiyari dialect\u00a0. for example,\u00a0<\/span>lurs have divided into 2 main <\/span>tribes. Small Lur that is\u00a0Lur from Lorestan as known Lorestani. Big Lur that is called Bakhtiari tribe.<\/span><\/p>\n

These people are known as for their bravery. in the past,\u00a0Bakhtiari\u00a0people\u00a0were always fighting against injustice. the special feature of these people is endurance against the hardships and living in hard condition. Sardar Asaad Bakhtiari<\/a> and Bibi Maryam Bakhtiari<\/a> are examples\u00a0of these strong folk.<\/p>\n

the costume of Bakhtiari is “Chogha”\u00a0 that made from felt (Namad). this costume has a sign for on itself. the\u00a0Chogha is like the guns which combine to each other. the Chogha involves two colors those are white and black that\u00a0the sign of bravery. the trousers of this tribe are called “Dabit”.<\/p>\n

more of the song in these tribe is about war, migration (Kooch), nature. the famous singer from my tribe is Masoud\u00a0Bakhtiari.\u00a0 you can listen\u00a0to the Song Mincing Flower (Gole naaz) from here<\/a><\/p>\n

“Mar Jange” song by Toraj Zahedi from Shir Sangi (stone lion) film is a song about\u00a0a war. if\u00a0you\u00a0like\u00a0to listen that please click\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

when a significant man passed away instead\u00a0of the usual\u00a0gravestone use the stone lion. before\u00a0installing the stone lion they were carving something on that like a sword, gun, and hunt tools.<\/p>\n

Nomads of Bakhtiari use a special black tent that provided from goat wool. in Bakhtiari dialect is called “Laamerdo”. this black tent is made by\u00a0women’s Bakhtiari. another handcraft is a carpet. I think the scenes on the carpet are usually inspired from nature, flowers, oak<\/a>, and etc.<\/p>\n
